This week for Bubbly Scrumptious i created a layout based on Rebecca's first outing to a pick your own fruit farm. Great fun was had by the whole family and she ate her body weight in strawberries and raspberries.
You can find all the info HERE on how i made the LO and a complete list of materials.
Hopefully the poor weather will improve as i want to go again soon, i have run out of homemade jam
I have set up a new paper craft class in my village hall. So if you are in the Buckie, Banffshire area, give me a ring to find out what its all about.
Each month we will make a couple of smaller projects or one large project. Cost is £15 to cover hall hire and materials. You will learn new techniques, get to play with new tools and products and spend time with like minded crafters.
So what are you waiting for, give it a try. Email or cll for more info
So after a day of walking, gardening, and basically being non stop from 8am until 6.30pm i felt the urge to go and purge myself in the craft room for a bit. And here is a sneak peak of a layout i created.
And its getting to the point were i cant find the desk so i feel a clean up on the horizon. I remember the days long ago when i used to have nothing on the table except the project under construction and then i used to tidy away everything ready fresh for the next one. Ha, oh i wish those days would return, lol
This week I am playing around with baby cards as a very old friend has just had a much wanted baby boy after many years of heart ache. I have made lots of cards and I am still undecided which to send as I want it to be very special for them.
Here is one of my cards, made for CBN, with some simple instructions.
• A4 cardstock
• Patterned paper (G45:Little Darlings)
• Ink (SU)
• Ribbon (SU)
• Bakers twine (SU)
• Embellishments: G45 stickers
I began by making myself a template. I hand drew a onesie shape out roughly, then refined the lines. Once I was happy with the shape, I scanned it, enlarged it and printed it out twice onto a piece of A4 card. I have attached one of then. Save, enlarge, print.
I cut out the shapes. I covered the back piece in spotty paper. I added a spotty paper to the bottom half of the front piece and a vintage text/ image piece to the top half. I inked all the edges.
To decorate I added bakers twill, ribbon, buttons and stickers to the front. I added a decorative strip to the back and another sticker.
Once happy with the front and back onesies, add glue above the line area on the template. Stick them together to finish.
And there you go, a very quick and easy baby card that looks adorable.
This week for bubbly i made another Layout featuring Rebecca in the water butt. I just love these pics so much. You can find all the info on materials and a full technique packed tutorial over on Bubbly Scrumptious HERE.
And here is the LO
I just love the cathedral window technique that is doing the rounds at the moment. And remember i have 2 projects on my other blog using the same technique. Link in the side bar for my other blog.
And over on CBN today i have a quick tutorial on making backgrounds from scraps. These are my finished cards.
So i have been hauled up in the craftroom all weekend working on a big project and making lots of cards. You can find all the info on my other blog including step by step instructions for this card.
And some of the cards i made are for CBN. Head on over to Crafty Bloggers Network today as its DT inspiration Monday and there are some fine examples of cards up there today.
And here is mine. I have been playing around with the oodles of scraps i have as they are freatening to escape the crate they sit in. I also played with some new SU stamps as well, build a blossom, love them.
So i showed you a sneak peak a few days back and this is what its all about. I have joined the DT with some very talented ladies over on The Crafty Bloggers Network.
Its going to be a challenge. I started off making cards, hmm, cough, splutter, some 10 years ago but the love of scrapbooking took over. So i will be challenging myself to rekindle what i loved about card making so much.
Here is my card
