Rusty Pickle amazing race challenge 7

Well its here, the last leg of the race, challenge 7.

Here is the clue

Get on outback, cause it's time to scrap near the small windmill by the old tin shed. SO search up high or search down under, spread your wings and begin to wonder. The dream is there amongst the swirls, just waiting to be found by some eager girls. SO get on outback where the skies are blue, cause that is where you'll find the clue.

Which took us to Scrapping outback. Go check out the shop, forum and all the projects that the other racers have done.

Here are my photo's. I was a bit out of my comfort zone on this one as my boys are too old for parties and i haven't had a kids party since Dan was 5 many moons ago. The challenge was to produce a sign, a centre piece, favours, invite and thank you's.

But i embraced the challenge and got into the spirit of it ready for Keith's 36th Birthday at the weekend. I made a "birthday cake" in the form of gift boxes for hidden gifts.

Then i made fancy cupcake wrappers and stick accessories with matching gift bags as favours.

I made a large DLO sign letting you know the party is here.

And a funky invite card and thank you card.

So now we just wait for the results. What ever happens i have had a ball playing with a huge amount of stunning product, have enough left to keep me going for about a year and i have made projects that i would never have done normally. The experience has let me tired but happy as i have met beautiful people along the way.

Good luck Rusty Pickle amazing racers.

Rusty Pickle amazing race challenge 6

So here was the latest clue.

I watch the world pass me by
A pen in my hand to doodle as I lie
It wiggles and squiggles, never a line
Flowers and stars designed in a Scrapbook and Doodle time.

Which led us too the scrapdoodle site where we were instructed to make a fabric bound tabbed album recipe book using the beautiful french market paper range.

So here is my creation. I have to admit that i struggled with this one. My mojo just flew right out the window on this one. I tossed ideas around all over the place and took over a day to decide on a theme and pages. I worked long and hard, way past my optimum best and ruined so much paper and pages.

But i am happy with the end result.

I think i am all race and mini booked out. Just one last challenge to go.

What can i say, OMG, have i seen the outside world for 3 days.

Here was the nect clue

I sit and look out of the windows
My eyes are flickering and remembering
All the good things from times gone by
I wonder how many memories I have stored
A few? A hundred? A thousand?
Or is it more like a million memories??

Which lead us to A million memories. I would recommend you go check out the site as it is great.

So the assignemnt was to use the massive heart and wing chipboard album with the very pink pirate princess collection.

Arh to the pinkness as just boys in this house, lol but i dug out lots of pictures of little sarah, a project i have been wanting to do for a while anyway before she leaves us.

Phew what a challenge. I hope the next one is a nice simple one as i am shattered, lol

Off to get ready for my first ever Stampin up party in a minute, very exciting.

Rusty Pickle Challenge 4

So the race is still continueing. I must say that i am really enjoying the whole process and the last album was my favourite so far.

So here is the clue

I'm off to a crop in a little bit
To spend time with a fellow crop addict
Our bags are packed with many a kit
The perfect day ... we'll be back in a bit!

which led us to Crop addict where we were set the challenge of making a waterfall album using the cherry covered chocolate collection.

The collection is all love and chocolates and was perfect for a book about keith and the boys.

get ready for a photo overload, lol

So there you go, my little (not so little really, lol) book of love

I have the new clue and one of my favourite inspirational kit club sites is hosting, a million memories.

Be back soon as i have been neglecting my other projects from scrap schemes and fiskars, i have a few to upload.

Rusty Pickle challenge 3

So here is clue 3

Every Scrapper Surely Knows
A special place your Memories should go
Memories from the Attic will surely remind you
Of all the Special things you do
Times with family fun and people you've met
Trips you gone on by flying in a jet
The happy memories along the way
Will Keep you smiling every day

Which led us to Memories from the attic

There the challenge was to create a DLO using the popstar range all about "your perfect day". The challenge was also to include an interactive element.

So the challenge didnt go as well for me as planned, Internet hitches, Printer malfuntion, LO malfunction ie DST riped one of my photo's when it got stuck to the LO by mistake. Oh the joys is all i can say.

So here they are

And thats all of it. Feel like i nedd to go for a power nap now, phew

Amazing race challenge two

So here is the clue.

Scrap a Page
Get A Point
Scrap Some more
and Max them out
Keeping a Tally as a Scrapper
is surely where it's at!

Which led us to Tally Scrapper to receive our instructions.

And the challenge for the next 3 days was to make a 8 x 8 album explaining why we want to be Rusty Pickle Chefs using the Mayflower paper range.

So i am working my thru that at the moment in between family commitments.

Head on over to Tally scrapper and leave some support if you fancy and as promised Rusty Pickle have been granting prizes for each challenge so be sure to leave a comment on the blog each time.

I will post pictures later tomorrow with the finished item

Edited: As promised, finished project

Rusty Pickle Amazing Race- Challenge 1

So as i said yesterday, RP race kicked off yesterday and boy do i feel like i have been thru the ringer already.

So here is the clue posted on the RP blog.

With a scrapbook page nearly finished, how do I embellish it?
Do I grab some bling maybe a button or two?
But wait a minute this page is on the computer
And the screen is oh so flat
What I would really like to know is
How do you embellish-online?

I have to confess that i cried when i saw the clue. What had i let myself in for, how was i supposed to find my way around US Scrap sites and forums.

BUt i calmed down and had a think and came up with embellish it, an online store.
Imagine my joy when i went to the site to find the announcement " welcome amazing racer's" woo hoo.

So we were greated with a sketch designed by Beckie and had to produce a double LO using the game time collection.

I sorted out what i wanted to use last night, printed my pics and arranged them all out before hitting the sack at gone 11. But i woke at 3, 4, 5, 6 before giving up at 7 and getting up.

I have worked away all morning and just photographed now.

So you can find all the challenge details here at Embellish-it

You can also all the racers LO's here in the gallery as well.

Off to upload now so i dont miss the deadline, only 5 hours early but i will just stew about my LO if i dont, lol
