I am a bad blogger

We have had such a busy week that i ahve not had time to drop in. Keith booked us a last minute holiday to Rhodes so frantically packing and sorting for that.

I joined a team over on UKS to give me a kick up the bum with my scrapping. I am now a Charli's Angel. I have just completed my first challenge.

out with the old,in with the new

This is my first weekly challenge since i joined the wonderful charli's angels team.

This Challenge was quite fitting as this week i told my boss i had applied for a university place a s a mature student and that i would be resigning for september.

The journalling reflects the fact that i am leaving the job i love but am currently not 100% happy with to try new things which untimatly will benefit the family.

the journallimg reads
Yes i am sad to leave the job as a school technician but i will have more family time. Yes we will be poor, very pooh but more relaxed and happy.

It will be hard for the next 3 years but it will be worth it in the long run. I am doing it for the family.

Along the bottom i have listed all the things i feel whilst completing this LO
Imagine, adventure, new beginning, seize the day, believe, yes, the first step is the hardest, all part of life's journey, what if i hate it, it will be worth it.

I used new hamly overlays and paper from a Carolinez craftze kitz on the LO and old funky foam that i had to have 3 years ago when i first started scrapping and never used!

I did not have a pic of work or college so decided to use some witty cartoons from the internet. Here they are full size.

Off to tidy my well and truely christened craft room as i have trashed it. But now i can just shut the door and walk away and nobody knows what a mess it is except me, LOL

I have a new craft room

We decided to start the craft room for me yesterday as the weather was so pants and we could not do any gardening. The room is a conservatory on the front of the cottage (porch really) meaqsuring just under 2m x 3m. After a major scrub and clean and the removal of all our junk it was ready for some rearranging. We placed the large ex dining room table in and our old comfy armchair. Keith made me a book case to house all the essentials and i utilised an old bookcase for storage boxes.

I stuck to the red to match the armchair and accessaries. The furniture is all solid dark wood and the new bookcase will also be stained dark. I wanted it to be modern and practical with a comfy old feel to match the granite stone work of the conservatory walls and the rest of the cottage.

All the red accessaries are from the living room from before we decorated and changed the colour scheme. It is not finished as the wallpaper still needs to go up and a carpet needs to go in. Keith is going to build me some 12 x 12 cubes for the large bookcase for my paper and then i will be all set. My wireless laptop and printer works great in here as well so I am ready to start scrapping. Just a pity I have lost my mojo and have no inspiration in me at the moment.

Keith has just popped in and passed comment that is this where i can be found from now on, too right it is, LOL

Another Sketch-I am on a roll

Here is another sketch for you to use and adapt as you see fit. I used this for another of Paula's little things challenge over at carolines craftz.

Here is the finished LO to go with the sketch

That is definatly me done for tonight.

Take care

Sketches

I am a fan of sketches. I occassionally use sketches from pencil lines or pagemaps if I have the dreaded scrappers block (like now) but I will sit for hours doodling and sketching in a notepad or any scrap of paper laying around. I thought i'd make my little sketches look a bit more professional so mum and my crop group could use them as well.

Here is my first one. This is the sketch i made for the "if somebody had told me" LO below.

Me again

I have been busy doing kids clubs and generally bogged down with family life, that I havent blogged recently. I found out last week that I won the prize for Pam's scrapbooking outside of the box challenge over at carolines craftze with my cuties LO below. So pleased other people like my LO's as much as I like making them.

I came across these blogging cartoons the other day that really tickled me. I seem to be a blog stalker at the moment.

Lastly, it was the last prompt from paula's little things challenge this week. The prompt was to have if somebody had told me... in the journalling. Mine was all about how i have enjoyed college so much and if somebody had told me how much fun it would be, i'd have gone years ago.

I just have one LO that i need to finish and thats all Paula's challenges done.

Bye for now
