Just a quick one for now

I have been meaning to post this for ages. It is a minibook blog that i just love. You can find it here.

I will be back later as not having a good day today. The boys have spent the day cleaning there rooms, 8 hours in total. They are pigstyes. So i have been sorting clothes out at the same time. Its made me very angry.

Little book of love

I have made another minibook. I am turning into a minibook queen, lol.

This one is for my brother and his partner who are getting married in April. It is made of all the little pictures from around the time of their engagement. It have love quotes to give it a romantic feel.

The book is one of Carolines exclusive chipboard books which you can find here. It is decorated with Teresa Collins Damask paper which you can also find here

So here are the pics, lots as usual,lol

















I made little acetate windows by cutting up an old creative imaginations mini book and drawing around one of the shapes. I also punched holes in creative imaginations slide mounts and hung on the book ring in between the pages. They can be filled by my future SIL with nick nacks.

Thats it for now as my day is all out of order since a massice thunder and lightening storm put paid to our gardening at the village hall. will have to do it this evening instead.

Do i have too much ribbon, lol

I had some spare time on my hands on saturday so decided to sort out all my ribbon once and for all. I bought ribbon threaders from Ribbon oasis and Rebecca's scrapbooking stash before it closed down.

Anyway i had bits of ribbon stashed everywhere and i was surprised by how much i actually had hidden in my craft room. I decided to sort it into colours and then arranged it all on my threaders.





Do you think i have to much!!!

So at my crop on Sunday, my friend Fiona set me a challenge to wear my ribbon bundles as a wig and take a photograph. Well i was up for that challenge but i just couldnt quite bring myself to wear it myself, lol. So i gave it to Alex, my youngest to take up the challenge. He did it reluctently, lol.

Saving the planet, lol

My head is filled with all sorts of things to make from household products after making my toilet roll book a few weeks again. So i have been going around the house looking for bits that are not tradtionally meant for crafting. Here is my list so far.

i am sure there is a lot more. But i have all these to hand so will start to create soon, i feel the need, lol

And on another point i have a new blog to show you. Caroline got in some loverly stuff from Buzz and bloom. She doesnt have much left as it flew out of the door very quickly. You can see it here.

But Buzz and bloom have a really inspirational blog. It is so bright and funky and has given me loads of ideas. You can see it here. Hope it brings you some ideas.

I will be back later as i spent some time on Saturday sorting all my ribbon out. OMG, i need to stop buying it, lol. My friend Fiona challenged me so i will show you what i did with it later.

Bracket mini album

I have another project to share. This one is an accordian style mini album made from the new large bracket covers from Carolinez craftz. I used the rest of the cupcake kit for this project as well.

Unfortunitatly i had to use more photo's of my cousin and her little girl again but at least i have some gifts to send then in the post, lol















This was so easy to make. Just 4 squares of chipboard joined with ribbon pieces and then covered. All the fronts where covered in pp but only the 2 middle backs were covered. The outside squares were glued directly to the previously covered inside bracket covers. I attached my pics and decorated with ribbon, buttons, pp scraps, and kit accessaries.

It looks loverly when fully opened out.

That's it for now, i have a project on the go as well as playing with my silhoutte, lol

I am back

I just had to rush off and finish this new minibook that Caroline sent. It is so cute. Its a large diecut owl. You can buy it here and here.

I decorated the fronts with Basic grey papers and the backs with photo's of the boys and keith. I embellished with ribbons and buttons plus lots of ribbons on the book ring. Unfortunitaly the owl ears make the boys look like they have devil horns, but that is so true sometimes, they are little devils.











Go check out all the other minibooks in the shop, so much choice and take advantage of that sale, lol.

Its that time again....New kit from Caroline

As you know i design stuff for Carolinez Craftz. I love doing this as the forum is my second home and Caroline has a great eye for putting together some gorgous kits and mini books.

I recently received lots of bits to play with. I was really pleased with the fresh summery colours in the new August kit and just loved the Cherry Arte papers. I had some perfect pictures to go with them.

I created a mix of both Boy and Girl Lo's so as you can see the kit is very versatile. You can find the kit here. Pop along to the shop as there is a 30% of sale at the moment.

Here is what i came up with. The first one is called live life to the max which celebrates Alex's always on the go lifestyle, lol



This LO celebrates the beautiful tulips in my neighbours garden and how i wish i could grow tulips like these.



This LO is called Happy and highlights the happyness my two boys experience together, for now at least, lol



This one highlights the special bond between my cousin sharon and her little girl Rachel, the best of friends.



And this one was just perfect for the bright colours in the papers. Rachel's celtic beauty is set of perfectly with the colours in this kit.



I also made a beautiful cloth and acetate mini album using the add on kit to match the kit. You can find it here.

I cut the material into squares. I sewed a photo onto each square before sewing two squares together. I made 3 pages like this with 2 acetate ones inbetween. I decorated with the felt freeze, blooms, buttons and journalling cards.

Not much going on....

The weather is pants up here in the NE of Scotland which is not very good for my creative juices. We just want to curl up under the duvet and watch the disney channel all day. Where has the sunshine gone.

anyway, i spent the day tidying up my blog and added some new features, thanks to sharon and her fab blog i now have picasso galleries and snap viewing. Looks so much streamlined dont you think, lol

Anyway, i have a few sneak peaks for our upcoming craft event here in the NE featuring Dyan Reavely of blonde moments and art from the heart.

Just look at this lushness that arrived from Ribbon Oasis yesterday. I cant wait to get started with it as i love browns at the moment. There is even some christmas ribbon in the bunch. Christmas in august i hear you say, well we might as well as we seem to have winter 12 month's of the year lately.



And i shall leave you with this little cutie.





I dont think the new pooch appreciates the world of crafting yet. But he better not take a fancy to my stash. He has already discovered that an embossing tool makes a fine teething chew!!!!!
