I am back.......

After weeks and weeks of BT trying to find a reason for us having no internet at all in the house, we received a message on the phone to day that they have fixed the problem. So after watching all the lights blinking on the home hub for what felt like two hours, the net finally came back on.

So i sat trawling thru my 120 emails and checked into my college site only to find loads of emails from my pal asking where i was today. Doh, no email or net ment i hadnt checked into the college site to see that my time table had changed. There was me happily creating away for Ribbon Oasis and the new stuff i received last week when i should have been in Taxonnomy and Aquaculture. I feel so stupid.

Anyway, i have some sneak peaks to show you for the afor mentioned Ribbon Oasis. I just loved all the pinkness and love ribbons this month.

And i finally finished my secong scrap like you mean it LO. Its a wedding medely that i started months ago. The grid is actually the back of a SEI die cut tag sheet that just called for some altering. I sort of serendipity papered it with scraps then added my pics and mounted it on canvas board.

Well thats it for today, i am off to surf and internet shop, lol

In the mix swap

I am hosting a swap over on UKS. Now regular readers will know i just love making mini books but i fancied a challenge.

So i decided to host a swap for mixed media which is so popular at the moment. Here are the details

For this swap you must make a mini book (No bigger than 8 x 8") with at least 10 pages (making 20 sides!). Please make it big enough to fit standard size photos.

This swap requires that there is at least one of the following included as pages:

• Acetate page
• A page made from material
• A page incorporating lace paper ie Maya road or KI memories style
. Shaped page
• Chipboard Page
• Painted page
• Newspaper page (I know this is not acid free but its at the discretion of receiver how they use these pages)

This is the minimum that all books must have but you can interpret this however you like.

Decorate each page minimally with papers, embellishments, rub ons, ribbons, bling, buttons etc, but please ensure you leave spaces for your swapee to add in their own photos and journaling.

There is no theme for this swap so papers, mixed media supplies and stash can be any colour you like.

Bind your book any way you like with book rings, BIA or ribbons etc

Each swapee should spend approx £5.00 on card, mix media, stash to make your book. Why not take advantage of some of the New Year sales from UKS sponsors. Also check out CAroline's closing down sale for lots of mixed media bargins.

If you fancy joining up, head on over to the thread and then PM me with the required details and i will add you to the list.

I cant wait to get started now, i fact i am this afternoon

Blog Candy and sneak peaks

As i mentioned yesterday, today is the second aniversary of my blog. I cant beieve its been going for 2 years now and i am having a ball updating it every now and again.

So as a little gift for my faithful readers and anybody who happens to find there way to my blog, i have some stash to give away.

I have put together a little parcel full of papers, buttons, ribbons etc. Its very pink but i love pink and being in a all male household i dont get to use all this pinkness i keep buying.

And as promised yesterday i have some sneak peaks for the next round of scrapbook apprentice, which hopefully i will get to see.

And this is the LO that is up for voting on the creativity life blog

Oh and i have been busy making a LO for Shimelle's new challenge, scrap like you mean it. I have started but i will probably not finish, i never do with challenges, lol

Still no internet at home so i am going to be an inflequent blogger for a few days i think.

And remember to leave a comment if you want to be in with a chance of winning the blog candy. I will get the boys to randomly pick a name next Sunday

New year pictures

As it was the anniversary of my Grandads sudden death around new years eve time we decided to do something different and headed away from home. We went to Inverness and took the boys to see a film, bed time story. Oh you have to go see this film as it is so funny, a right feelgood film.

We then headed in to Inverness for the winter festival which was family orientatated. We didnt stay long as it was so cold, -6 and there was no where open to get any food except a dodgy kebab shop.

We watched the candle lit parade and the opening ceronomy fireworks display and headed home to a take away and a bottle of wine to see in the new year.

Here are a few pictures i took on the way

I have a vid of the fireworks but thats another time as i havent figured out how to put vids on the blog yet, such a technophobe, lol

Thats all for now folks

Round 2 of Scrapbook apprentice

Well this month's LO's and cards are up on the creativity life blog for you to see and cast a vote. If you like what i have done with this bumper kit of bright PP, my favourites then go ahead and vote for me. If you like somebody elses then vote for them, lets keep it fair.

Its such a shame that we had to loose somebody and i think that looking at the voting already and the fact that i made it by the skin of my teeth last time may be a sigh that i am going soon anyway. I hope not as i just finished this months challenge last night and i have to say i think its my best work so far. Sneak peaks will follow tomorrow as i have a special post as its my 2 year blog aniversary.

I cant believe how my scrapbooking and projects has taken off since i launched my blog, I seem to want to be more productive and display it for the world and his dog to see on my blog, lol

Catch you later and have a happy crafty newyear
