Some sad news

I have recently heard from Caroline over at Carolinez Craftz Kitz that she is closing down due to ill health. I am really sad about this as i love the shop for all my chipboard bits and i loved playing with Caroline's fantastic kits each month.

I wish Caroline all the best and with the business gone she can finally chill out abit and get her health back up to scratch.

You can take advantage of a 50% reduction on all stock by using the code CLOSING. As the majority of orders will be heavy P&P will be £4.95 for each order during the closing down sale.

Head on over to the shop before its all gone

So i thought id show you are few pics of our xmas. Too much food but lots of laughts.

He is not usually this gozzy eyed, doing it for the camera

The boxing day buffet, oh i feel sick just looking at it

The present opening

Koby getting in on the act, lol

More presents, shiny new trainers

And yesterday i got on the wii fit and just did half an hour. I mainly did the hula hooping and ski jumping but boy does my rib area hurt today. And tomorrow i probably wont be able to walk as we took the boys out on their new bikes and my bike got stuck in first gear half way round so alot of peddleing was done by me!!!!

Any way gonna chill out tonight as i have been trying to research Ecoli 0157, the nasty one for an essay due in on the 5th of Jan. So spoiling my christmas break and i am dying to get some scrapping done with my new stash i got for christmas.

52 ways to look after yourself, challenge 8

Break time: Come fly with me

This week I would like you plan your ultimate holiday. If you are like me, you will have a ultimate destination in mind already for when the kids have flown the nest and you have saved for that rainy day.

You will probably have a dream of flying away somewhere really exotic, be it a cultural tour of the orient, a safari in Africa or a bush tucker tour of Australia.

So take time to plan your dream holiday, go on the net and search out all those tourist hot spots or hunt out those little secret places hidden away. Taylor your plans to what suits you, be it 5 star luxury or back packer hostels way of the beaten track. Make your LO to represent that ultimate dream and one day it just might come true, I hope mine does.

I made my LO about Las Vegas as it is my dream to one day go and have a second honeymoon at vegas. What happens in vegas, stays in vegas, lol. I just love all the glam, glitze, cheese. I would people watch the gambling, show and dinner everynight, csi tours, the works. I also used the Teresa Collins travel collection which you can buy in Carolinez new october kit here for £13.75 or caroline has an offer on so why not take advantage of both bon apetite and travel kits for £25.

So go in, indulge in a little luxury of dreaming and bon voyage

Memory storage box

I have been working on this for two weeks. Not that it was so complicated that it took that long, i was just doing a bit of glueing and sticking each night.

I followed the craft tv instructions to make this little box that i will send to the MIL full of a years worth of pictures.

I decorated with the love elsie Claire papers from Carolinez june kit which you could find here but has now sold out.

Thats all for now folks

New September Kit

Its that time again for Caroline to launch her new monthly kit. This months is a bumper edition at a really great price. You can see it here.. There are some cute boy coloured mini kits as well that i feel shall be falling into my shopping basket soon as well, lol, you can see them here as well.

so here is what i did with the bits of the kit i had. Its very summery which is what we need in this rain.

i also made a mini book from 1 sheet of 12 x 12 as well which turns into a accordian book. This is an idea i adapted from a project in the scarlett lime kit newsletter.

That's it for now as i have loads to do for the 52 ways to look after yourself challenge and ribbon oasis stuff plus getting ready for the big crafting weekend tomorrow.

Bye for now

Little book of love

I have made another minibook. I am turning into a minibook queen, lol.

This one is for my brother and his partner who are getting married in April. It is made of all the little pictures from around the time of their engagement. It have love quotes to give it a romantic feel.

The book is one of Carolines exclusive chipboard books which you can find here. It is decorated with Teresa Collins Damask paper which you can also find here

So here are the pics, lots as usual, lol

I made little acetate windows by cutting up an old creative imaginations mini book and drawing around one of the shapes. I also punched holes in creative imaginations slide mounts and hung on the book ring in between the pages. They can be filled by my future SIL with nick nacks.

Thats it for now as my day is all out of order since a massice thunder and lightening storm put paid to our gardening at the village hall. will have to do it this evening instead.

Take Care

Bracket mini album

I have another project to share. This one is an accordian style mini album made from the new large bracket covers from Carolinez craftz. I used the rest of the cupcake kit for this project as well.

Unfortunitatly i had to use more photo's of my cousin and her little girl again but at least i have some gifts to send then in the post, lol

This was so easy to make. Just 4 squares of chipboard joined with ribbon pieces and then covered. All the fronts where covered in pp but only the 2 middle backs were covered. The outside squares were glued directly to the previously covered inside bracket covers. I attached my pics and decorated with ribbon, buttons, pp scraps, and kit accessaries.

It looks loverly when fully opened out.

That's it for now, i have a project on the go as well as playing with my silhoutte, lol

I am back

I just had to rush off and finish this new minibook that Caroline sent. It is so cute. Its a large diecut owl. You can buy it here and here.

I decorated the fronts with Basic grey papers and the backs with photo's of the boys and keith. I embellished with ribbons and buttons plus lots of ribbons on the book ring. Unfortunitaly the owl ears make the boys look like they have devil horns, but that is so true sometimes, they are little devils.

Go check out all the other minibooks in the shop, so much choice and take advantage of that sale, lol.

Take care

My desert class for the dinner party

We had a dinner party over at Carolinez forumz last night and it was great fun. The team put together some loverly classes all based around a holiday/welcome home theme. Laura's cards are started by me and will be finished when i find some herma, Jayne's class is perfect for those beach/pool pics and i have some great shots so will start that later and i made a mini album from toilet roll inners.

I first saw something about making tags from toilet rolls over on two peas. Then i saw a gorgoues album over on the bad girls blog by Ania.

So here is my version of it. I added lots of features including lace acetate windows to peak thru to the otherside, acetate jounal pages, photo pages and lots of little pictures placed on the toilet roll tags. I kept it all together with my trusty BIA.

You can find the full instructions here

Here are the pics anyway

We had such fun last night and thank you to all the girls that took part.

I have a few LO's to upload soon as well so will be back soon

Where do i begin....

Firstly, Thanks for all my comments on my teachers presents. I was unsure about them but then the boys where really excited about them and DH didnt believe i made them myself so i am reasured.

I made some quick cards to go with them. I used a hero arts stamp which basically did the work for me.

Its that time again for Caroline's Monthly kits to go live. You can see the July kit here, watch the birdie and the additional cupcake love kit here as well.

Head over to the blog to see what The DT and guest DT have come up with.

Also check out what the loverly Carole aka Hysterical produced with the gorgous clair kit by elsie, some stunning work there.

Here is a clipboard i made using the cupcake kit. I made this to hold my summer recipe's especially now the fruit farm is open, raspberry cupcakes, here i come.

Here is a LO using the cardstock, pp, ribbon and chipboard flower from the kit.

My mum will have a fit when she see's this, lol

Oh and i have won a blog award, so will be back later to sort it out.

Cheers
Sarah
